On December 17, 2020, GlobalPittsburgh partnered with Idea Foundry to host Entrepreneurial Resilience in 2020, a virtual panel featuring past and present participants of the U.S. Department of State’s Professional Fellows Programs. The event centered around panelists’ entrepreneurial resilience in their respective countries during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- The featured panelists included Rick Valencia, Mexico, alumnus of the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative; Malika Sharipova, Uzbekistan, an incoming participant/Fellow in the Uzbekistan Business Leaders Exchange Program; Efrain Cal, Belize, alumnus of the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative; and Rajendra Mohess, Sint Maarten, alumnus of the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative.
- The panel was moderated by Michael Matesic, CEO & Founder of Idea Foundry.
- Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Professional and Cultural Exchanges at the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs Chris Miner provided an introduction to the event and discussed the value of the U.S. Department of State’s Professional Fellows Programs.
