Please join us for a special happy hour on Sunday, Nov. 6, from 4:00-6:30 p.m. at Roland’s Seafood Grill to help us welcome international delegates and students and celebrate everyone and everything global (and talk politics!) in Pittsburgh.
GlobalPittsburgh is doing something a little different for our November networking event! We invited two Kyrgyz anti-corruption professionals and ten political activists from Australia to join us. The visitors are participating in two U.S. State Department-sponsored International Visitor Leadership Program entitled, “Investigation and Prosecution of Transnational Organized Crime,” and “Midterm, Election Watch, for Younger Australian Political Party Activists.” The Australian group, in particular, will be eager to talk politics and learn informally what issues are resonating with American voters as they prepare to vote in the midterm elections on November 8.
In partnership with the University of Pittsburgh’s English Language Institute, GlobalPittsburgh is hosting students from Japan who are also invited to attend the event.
The admission is free for GP members and $10 for non-members. If you have a question about renewing your membership, please let me know.
Complimentary appetizers will be served from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m.
